  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 whole eggs

How to Make Spicy Savory Meatballs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Spicy Savory Meatballs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix ground beef in a blender until smooth and sticky. Transfer to a big bowl and incorporate eggs, garlic and ginger paste, breadcrumbs and first cup of onions. Mix it all together with your hands.
  • Step 2
  • Mold the beef mixture into a meatball shape. As many as you can make and then leave to the side until needed. (If you have too much leftover, just mold them all and put them in the freezer and use for next time) And if the mixture isnt sticky enough just add another egg or more breadcrumbs to get to where you need for the meatballs to form.
  • Step 3
  • Heat frying pan on medium heat with olive oil on the stove and add one cup chopped onions, tomatoes, turmeric, cumin, salt, chili powder, black pepper, and cinnamon.
  • Step 4
  • Mix all the ingredients in the frying pan and let them turn a light golden brown. Then carefully add the meatballs in with all the other ingredients in the frying pan. Cook for about 20 mins or until you feel the meat is cooked enough for you.
  • Step 5
  • Make sure all the meatballs are properly coated with the spicy onion and tomatoe sauce and then lower down the heat and put the lid on the pan and cook for another 10 mins or so and then turn off the heat.
  • Step 6
  • Make sure you dont overcook because that will cause the meatballs to get too soft and then they break. After you've turned off the stove heat, immediately move the meatballs from the pan to a serving plate or bowl to let it cool.
  • Step 7
  • Once its cooled you're ready to dig in! You can add to pasta, rice, and other dishes. You can also substitute the beef for chicken or even tuna. Its spicy and delicious and sure to satisfy all your taste buds.
  • Step 8
  • And if you dont get it right the first time, you'll know what you did wrong and make it twice as better the second time. Practice makes perfect. ENJOY!
