  • 3 cup pasta
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 5 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 medium finely chopped onion (yellow)
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 packages frozen or fresh Spinach
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

How to Make Spinach Florentine

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Spinach Florentine in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Melt butter, add crushed garlic and onion, sautée until almost tender.
  • Step 2
  • Let garlic and onion get slightly clear. Add salt and pepper and parsley.
  • Step 3
  • Add both tablespoons of flour until all ingredients form a paste.
  • Step 4
  • Add in milk and chicken broth, inter-changing ingredients while stirring with a spatula or whisk. Continue to stir until back in a creamy/thickened sauce.
  • Step 5
  • Add cheeses to sauce and continue to stir until well blended and thick consistency. Once done, set aside.
  • Step 6
  • Cook pasta and spinach, separate.
  • Step 7
  • Combine drained Spinach with the sauce and stir slightly. Then pour into drained pasta.
  • Step 8
  • You can add chicken or turkey to increase protein. Or use vegetable broth to make it vegetarian.
