  • 100 grams Meat miso
  • 1/2 bag Bean sprouts
  • 1 Soft boiled egg
  • 1 Homemade ra-yu
  • 1 Lettuce
  • 1 packet Fresh ramen noodles
  • 50 ml Water
  • 1 Katakuriko slurry

How to Make Standard Chinese Zhajiangmian

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Standard Chinese Zhajiangmian in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Parboil the bean sprouts in salted water, drain, and let cool. Mix with the ra-yu. Soft boil the egg.
  • Step 2
  • Add 50 ml water and the katakuriko slurry to the meat miso to thicken. Boil the noodles, coat in the sesame oil, and transfer to a dish.
  • Step 3
  • Top the noodles with the soft-boiled egg cut in half, the lettuce, bean sprouts, and meat miso.
  • Step 4
  • Homemade Tianmianjiang (Chinese sweet flour paste)
