  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, more or less to preference
  • peanut butter
  • 1 banana sliced small
  • 1 loaf french bread sliced 1 1/4 inch thick
  • Butter or margarine

How to Make Stuffed French Toast

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Stuffed French Toast in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Slice your bread into 1 1/4 inch thick slices. Then carefully and with a sharp knife make incisions down the middle but not all the way through
  • Step 2
  • Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla in large bowl
  • Step 3
  • Mix about a cup of peanut butter into banana slices
  • Step 4
  • Using a fork or spoon, carefully stuff a slice of the bread with about a tablespoon of the banana mixture . Do this with half of the bread then the rest with chocolate chips, about 2 tbsps. Depends on how much you like.
  • Step 5
  • Soak stuffed bread in egg mixture long enough to get the bread very moist
  • Step 6
  • Heat large nonstick saute pan to medium heat, cook slices in butter about 4 minutes per side
  • Step 7
  • Tips: make sure your bread is sliced thick enough or your ingredients will come out
  • Step 8
  • Serve with bacon or fruit and coffee. Maple syrup on the side. About 2 slices per person.
