  • Swedish Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (of your choice)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 medium diced onion (I use white or yellow)
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic (or more if you prefer)
  • 1 each salt and pepper
  • 1 each garlic powder (optional)
  • Garnish
  • 1 packages egg noodles (or white rice)

How to Make Swedish Meatballs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 11 steps you must follow to make Swedish Meatballs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Prepare egg noodles as directed on package (if using rice prepare it, unless using boil in a bag then cook it last).
  • Step 2
  • While garnish is cooking roll ground beef into meatballs (a tad bit smaller than a golf ball)
  • Step 3
  • Carefully brown the meatballs on medium heat making sure to turn them often.
  • Step 4
  • Once meatballs are browned remove from skillet.
  • Step 5
  • Over medium to medium high heat melt stick of butter, add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is tender
  • Step 6
  • Add cream of mushroom and sour cream, stir until well mixed. Reduce to low heat.
  • Step 7
  • Add meatballs
  • Step 8
  • Once heated through let simmer stirring occasionally until ready to serve.
  • Step 9
  • Pour Swedish meatballs over egg noodles or rice. Enjoy!
  • Step 10
  • I like to serve this with garlic bread and a side salad.
  • Step 11
  • Salt and pepper to taste (add a little garlic powder to taste if you're like me)
