  • 2 Egg yolk
  • 60 grams Granulated sugar
  • 3 Egg white
  • 1 Cake flour
  • 1 Powdered sugar
  • 1 Vanilla essence

How to Make Sweet and Fluffy Custard Cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Sweet and Fluffy Custard Cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Beat the egg yolks in a bowl. Add half of the granulated sugar and beat until pale and thickened.
  • Step 2
  • Put the egg whites in a separate bowl. Mix in the rest of the granulated sugar and whip until it forms stiff peaks.
  • Step 3
  • Pour the meringue into the egg yolks, then add the vanilla essence. Fold in using a spatula. Add the sifted flour and fold in briskly.
  • Step 4
  • Line a baking tray with of parchment paper. Pour the batter into a circular shape so that the center is slightly raised.
  • Step 5
  • Lightly sift the powdered sugar and cake flour over the batter. Score lines with a knife.
  • Step 6
  • Bake for 20 minutes in a 180℃ preheated oven. Let it cool after the cake has finished baking.
  • Step 7
  • Slice in half to form layers. Sandwich some yogurt cream (or custard cream) and sift some powdered sugar on top.
