  • 180 grams Sweet potato
  • 30 grams Sugar
  • 100 grams Cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 50 ml Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Black sesame seeds

How to Make Sweet Potato Cookies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Sweet Potato Cookies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Put the sweet potato in a silicon steamer and microwave until tender. While still hot, scoop out the flesh, add sugar, and pass through a sieve to strain.
  • Step 2
  • Combine cake flour and baking powder in a bowl, and whisk until smooth and fluffy.
  • Step 3
  • Add strained sweet potato and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix.
  • Step 4
  • Once the batter forms a dough, wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Roll out the dough to 5 mm thickness, then cut with a cookie cutter. Sprinkle black sesame seeds and bake for 15 minutes in an oven set to 360°F/180°C.
