  • filling
  • 1/2 sweet potato
  • 1 tsp jaggery powder
  • dough
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • greasing
  • 2 tsp ghee or clarified butter

How to Make sweet potato paratha

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make sweet potato paratha in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Steam the sweet potato for 5 mins in microwave and peel off the skin.
  • Step 2
  • Prepare a soft dough using flour and water.
  • Step 3
  • While dough is resting, mash the steamed potato and add jaggery.
  • Step 4
  • Take a small ball of dough- roll it flat roughly. Grease a little ghee and spread the filling in middle and close the ends.
  • Step 5
  • Lightly press the ball in dry flour and roll it thin.
  • Step 6
  • Put it on a preheated girdle and cook it one side till light brown, then turn and apply ghee . similarly smear ghee on other side and keep on flipping every 5 sec till both the sides are cooked.
  • Step 7
  • Cut the paratha in 8 pcs and serve with date syrup.
