  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 each yellow onion
  • 2 each garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 can original rotel
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper

How to Make Taco Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Taco Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Finely chop onion and garlic cloves, set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Cube cream cheese and allow to warm on the counter.
  • Step 3
  • In a 2 quart saucepan , brown and drain ground beef before returning to pan.
  • Step 4
  • Add prepared onion and garlic and cook until onion starts to become translucent.
  • Step 5
  • Add chili powder and cumin and cook for about a minute.
  • Step 6
  • Add cream cheese and melt until the meat mixture is evenly coated.
  • Step 7
  • Add broth, rotel, and cream. Salt and pepper to taste, and heat on medium until steadily boiling.
  • Step 8
  • Remove from heat and serve.
