  • 1 can small can of northern beans
  • 1 to 2 lbs of hamburger
  • 1 large can of tomato sauce
  • 1 medium to large white/yellow onion
  • 1 envelope of taco seasoning
  • 1 envelope of McCormick's chili seasoning
  • 1 three or more dashes of red pepper
  • 1 a few dashes or more if you prefer of garlic powder
  • 1 a few sprinkles of black pepper
  • 1 shredded cheddar cheese ( optional )
  • 1 diced up purple/red onion ( optional )
  • 1 butter bread or corn bread

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 12 steps you must follow to make taisen's two bean chili in a crockpot in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • drain the cans of beans. sometimes I leave a little of the kidney bean liquid
  • Step 2
  • start the crock pot on high. add in the tomato sauce, both beans and the McCormick seasoning. stir and cover.
  • Step 3
  • get a frying pan. put the hamburger meat in it and turn the heat on to medium high. sprinkle black pepper, red pepper and garlic. cook until the meat is no longer pink
  • Step 4
  • drain the grease. turn the heat down to low medium and add about 1/2 a cup of water then add the taco seasoning. mix well and when the meat soaks up all the water turn the heat off and add the meat into your crock pot
  • Step 5
  • mix the meat and cover the crock pot
  • Step 6
  • chop up your onion anyway you like. add them in stir and cover
  • Step 7
  • let this cook for about an hour. then taste. if it needs more spice use whatever you like until you feel it is spicy enough.
  • Step 8
  • cook all day long. about 4 to 5 hours
  • Step 9
  • slice up some red/purple onion and set aside. grate cheese and set aside.
  • Step 10
  • butter the bread or get the cornbread ready
  • Step 11
  • top with cheese and onion if you like it that way
  • Step 12
  • serve and enjoy
