  • 10 tilapia filets
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 packages Louisiana fish fry New Orleans style
  • 1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

How to Make Taylor fried tilapia

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Taylor fried tilapia in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Thaw tilapia accordingly. saturate with fresh lemon juice on both sides
  • Step 2
  • Season one side to your liking with old bay seasoning, and oregano
  • Step 3
  • Flip tilapia filets and season other side with onion powder, Italian seasoning and black pepper
  • Step 4
  • Heat oil in Dutch skillet until piping hot (test by tossing a dash of the fish fry into grease if it sizzles heavily it is ready)
  • Step 5
  • Coat fish filets in fish fry seasoning make sure the fish is evenly coated on both sides
  • Step 6
  • Place fish filets in grease and cook until browned (about 5 minutes) Flip and cook the other side an additional 5/6 minutes or until done
  • Step 7
  • Remove filets from grease and drain on paper towel. Enjoy
