  • 400 grams Chicken thigh meat
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper
  • 20 grams Katakuriko
  • 1/2 bag Shimeji mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 10 ml ☆Sake
  • 20 ml ☆Mirin
  • 20 ml ☆Soy sauce
  • 1 Vegetable oil

How to Make Teriyaki Chicken

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 12 steps you must follow to make Teriyaki Chicken in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, and mix the ☆ seasoning ingredients together.
  • Step 2
  • There should be a thin coating of katakuriko on the chicken.
  • Step 3
  • Release the air, and shake! Make sure not to rip the bag.
  • Step 4
  • The katakuriko should thinly and evenly coat the chicken.
  • Step 5
  • Lightly coat a frying pan with vegetable oil and heat it up.
  • Step 6
  • Fry the chicken with the skin side down until golden brown. Don't touch it at this point!! Let it be!
  • Step 7
  • Flip it over once the edges have turned pale white.
  • Step 8
  • Wipe off the excess oil once it has turned a nice color.
  • Step 9
  • Add in the shimeji mushrooms and sauté.
  • Step 10
  • After sautéing, add in the combined ☆ ingredients along with the sugar.
  • Step 11
  • Super juicy and it smells so good. It's done once everything is covered in the sauce.
