Ingredients: Tiffie's Spicy Gambas

  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1 Garlic (1whole peeled and minced)
  • 3 Jalapeño (green long chilies-sliced diagonally)
  • 2 tsp Pimenton (Spanish paprika-sweet)
  • 1 dash Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 kg Shrimps (drained and shelled, tails preferably intact)
  • 1/4 tsp Brown sugar

How to Make Tiffie's Spicy Gambas

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Tiffie's Spicy Gambas in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan and sauté garlic. Add in Jalapeño after 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Add in salt and pimenton, simmer for 2 minutes before adding in the shrimps.
  • Step 3
  • Wait for the shrimps to cook/to turn orange. Remove shrimps from the sauce and set aside. Simmer and reduce sauce mixture for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Once sauce has reduced, add in sugar and mix well. Simmer for another minute before putting the cooked shrimps back in. Cook for about 2-3 minutes under medium to high heat.
  • Step 5
  • Serve hot. This is best paired with toasted ciabatta, toasted pita bread or plain rice, whichever you prefer.. :)
