  • 3 Tilapia fillet
  • 1/3 cup dried beans, prepared
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 clove crushed, chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 diced sweet onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 tbsp organic no salt season
  • 1/3 cup diced tomato
  • 7 whole mushrooms, sliced

How to Make Tilapia and white beans

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Tilapia and white beans in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Prepare the vegetables and add all to a large skillet. I use my chicken fryer.
  • Step 2
  • Mix in seasonings and the oil to the vegetables. Add the fish fillets to the top. When cooking the beans there should be about a cup of the liquid left, add this to the veg as well. If you're using canned white beans use the liquid from it. It keeps you from having to add water which would make it less flavorful.
  • Step 3
  • Put a lid on it and cook on medium-low until the fish is done. This type of cooking is called poaching so try not to take the lid off. If the liquid boils away the heat is too high.
