Ingredients: Toffee Sauce

  • 110 grams butter
  • 250 grams light brown sugar
  • 275 grams golden syrup (corn syrup)
  • 225 ml double cream (heavy cream)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or salt (vanilla goes best with fruits. salt goes best with chocolate)

How to Make Toffee Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Toffee Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • put all ingredients in order into a pan and stir until melted. boil for 4-5 minutes
  • Step 2
  • remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. The sauce will still be incredibly hot so no dipping fingers yet
  • Step 3
  • sterilise 2-3 jars and pour in sauce. store in a cupboard. If it hardens too much when cooled, warm slightly
