  • 1/2 block Firm tofu
  • 3 leaves Cabbage
  • 2 tsp Bonito dashi stock granules
  • 1 Cheese and other ingredients
  • 1 as much as you'd like Okonomiyaki sauce
  • 1 Mayonnaise (optional)

How to Make Tofu and Cabbage Okonomiyaki

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Tofu and Cabbage Okonomiyaki in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add the tofu (without draining) into a bowl and mash. Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and cut your favourite ingredients as well.
  • Step 2
  • Add the ingredients into the bowl with the tofu, and mix in the bonito flavoured dashi stock granules.
  • Step 3
  • Transfer the Step 2 mixture onto a flat plate, smooth it out, then cover with plastic wrap.
  • Step 4
  • Microwave for 6 minutes. When it's cooked, remove from the microwave, swirl the sauce on, and you're done.
  • Step 5
  • It's ok even if the shape of okonomiyaki collapses after microwaving. Flatten it again along the shape of the plate, then it will go back to the original shape.
