Ingredients: TOFU GUMBO

  • 3 clove garlic
  • 2/3 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 cup onion diced or sliced thin
  • 2 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup cabbage, sliced thin
  • 1 cup corn, fresh or frozen
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 can (4 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 lb extra firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp chick-it seasoning
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 2 tsp salt

How to Make TOFU GUMBO

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make TOFU GUMBO in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Saute' onions, garlic, and celery in a little water until tender.
  • Step 2
  • Add all other vegetables.
  • Step 3
  • Blend tomatoe paste and peanut butter in 1 qt. of water, then add to vegetables.
  • Step 4
  • Add 1 qt of water.
  • Step 5
  • Simmer with 1 bay leaf added until carrets are tender.
  • Step 6
  • Add tofu at the end just heat , than serve
