  • 1 packages 13.8 oz refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 can 15 oz can pinto beans with jalapeno peppers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or montery jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 taco sauce (optional)

How to Make Tostada Pizza

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Tostada Pizza in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a large skillet cook ground beef until brown. Drain off fat.
  • Step 2
  • Stir in the water, chile peppers, taco seasoning mix, and chili powder. Bring to boiling and reduce heat.

  • Simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 mins or until most of the liquid is evaporated.
  • Step 4
  • Preheat oven to 400°

  • Grease baking sheet and sprinkle with cornmeal.

  • Press pizza dough into 12x18 inch rectangle on prepared baking sheet.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 5 mins
  • Step 8
  • In a small bowl, mash beans with fork.
  • Step 9
  • Spread beans over crust to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  • Step 10
  • Spoon meat mixture over beans.
  • Step 11
  • Bake about 10 mins or just until crust is golden.
  • Step 12
  • Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 1 to 2 mins or until cheese is melted
  • Step 13
  • Top with lettuce, tomato and green onions. If desired, serve with taco sauce
