  • 1 5 x 15 cm piece Fresh sashimi quality lean tuna
  • 1 Toasted nori seaweed
  • 2 Green onions or scallions
  • 1 White sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp ☆ Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp ☆ Mentsuyu
  • 1 tsp ☆ Sugar
  • 1 tsp ☆ Sake
  • 1 cm worth from a tube of store-bought wasabi Wasabi
  • 1 tsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 bowls full Plain steamed rice

How to Make Tuna Rice Bowl

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Tuna Rice Bowl in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine the ☆ ingredients (soy sauce, mentsuyu, sugar, sake) and microwave for 20 minutes to dissolve the sugar. Add the vegetable oil and wasabi and mix well.
  • Step 2
  • Slice the tuna on the diagonal.
  • Step 3
  • Marinate the tuna slices for about 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Shred up the nori seaweed with your hands and scatter on top of the rice.
  • Step 5
  • Mound the tuna on top and garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds. Pour the marinade over all.
