  • 1 lb Sushi grade Tuna, cleaned, cut in strips
  • Marinade
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice, plus Zest
  • 1 tbsp Orange juice, plus Zest
  • 1 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp Scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Cilantro
  • Sweet Soy Sauce
  • 1 Part soy sauce
  • 1 Part sugar
  • 1 Butter
  • Spicy Mustard
  • 1/2 cup Whole grain mustard
  • 1 tbsp Korean chili paste
  • 1 tsp Minced ginger

How to Make Tuna Skewers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Tuna Skewers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • For the tuna, cut the slices approximately 1/4 - inches and an inch wide
  • Step 2
  • For marinade, mix all of the ingredients together. Put tuna in marinade for 10- 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauces. For the sweet soy sauce: Heat soy sauce until it begins to boil. Whisk in sugar until all dissolved. Cook for a few minutes, careful not to let overflow. Finish with a spoonfull of butter. Cool.
  • Step 4
  • For the spicy mustard, mix all of the ingredients together.
  • Step 5
  • Place a piece of aluminum foil on edge of the grill until where you will rest the ends of the skewers. This will prevent the bamboo skewers from burning.
  • Step 6
  • Skewer fish pieces one per skewer and grill until desired temperature is achieved, about 1- 2 minutes per side.
  • Step 7
  • Serve on a bed of chiffonade baby spinache, watermelon cubes and black sesame seeds; use a dressing of 1 part lemon juice and 2 parts olive oil.
