Prepare the ingredients before making Turkey meatloaf in your home. Then, follow these steps below to serve Turkey meatloaf for your family or friends.

Ingredients: Turkey meatloaf

  • 1 lb ground lean turkey
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 bunch small bunch of parsley, chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion, white or yellow for milder flavor.
  • 4 clove garlic minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or can use 1/2 cup rolled oats to be healthier
  • 5 grinds of pepper or about 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or 1/2 cup applesauce to be healthier
  • 1 large squeeze ketchup, about 1/3 cup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup diced or shredded carrots, for a different flavor, this is optional
  • 1/2 cup diced celery, optional
  • 1/2 tsp fresh or dried sage, optional...will add a thanksgiving flavor

How to Make Turkey meatloaf

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Turkey meatloaf in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Put oven at 325, cook for one hour. May need longer, I sometimes do 85 minutes! I don't like it soo moist!
  • Step 2
  • Mix all ingredients, add egg last before Turkey meat. Gently mix in Turkey meat.
  • Step 3
  • Cover top of meatloaf with enough ketchup to cover so you can't see the meat. Coat pan in olive oil.
  • Step 4
  • Shape loaf in bread pan and cover for first 30 minutes, second half the last 20-30 minutes leave uncovered.
  • Step 5
  • Make sure Turkey is cooked all the way through before you eat it!! It will be moist if you do egg n applesauce n ketchup in the mix!
