  • 1 lb Greek feta ( crumbled )
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 lb phyllo sheets
  • 1/2 lb butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese

How to Make Tyropita

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Tyropita in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Beat four whole eggs and four egg folks only.
  • Step 2
  • Beat until light and creamy; fold into crumbled feta cheese, ricotta, and grated cheese
  • Step 3
  • Season to taste
  • Step 4
  • Place eight buttered pastry sheets in a greased pan and then pour cheese mixture
  • Step 5
  • Cover with eight additional pastry sheets, brushing each with melted butter, fold edges to retain mixture and the whole pie with melted butter
  • Step 6
  • Bake at 350* for 45 min
  • Step 7
  • Cut on to squares and serve warm
