  • 5 eggs

  • 1 cup White raisins (I usually use more)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 8 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt

  • Dissolve yeast in the milk which has been scalded and cooled to lukewarm.

  • Make sure the milk is under the temperature of 110°F.

  • Add 3 cups if the flour, mix and let rise double in bulk. Place in large bowl and put in a warm place. Cover it with a cotton cloth.

  • Allow to rise in warm place until double in bulk.
  • Step 7
  • Turn out onto floured board, knead well, using more flour, if necessary, to make a medium dough.
  • Step 8
  • Put into 2 large greased loaf pans and let rise again until doubled in bulk.
  • Step 9
  • Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 350°F and bake for 50 minutes more..
