  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 50 grams chocolate chips (I used Moo-Free brand, dairy & soy-free)
  • 1/2 tsp sunflower oil
  • 6 lolly sticks
  • 1 sprinkles to decorate

    Step 1
  • I saw this idea on Pinterest and modified it to suit our diet
  • Step 2
  • Peel the kiwi fruit and slice each into 3 discs
  • Step 3
  • Push a lolly stick through each as far as you can without splitting the fruit, I just push to the centre
  • Step 4
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir and put in for another 30 seconds. My micro is 800W, yours may need less or more heating time
  • Step 5
  • Stir in the oil to make the chocolate glossy and let cool a little
  • Step 6
  • Dip the kiwi discs into the chocolate until coated well, shake the excess off gently and hold upsides down until the dripping slows, 5 or so seconds. Now decorate with sprinkles if you want to
  • Step 7
  • Push the stick into something to hold the pops upright while they dry - a polystyrene block, empty egg box or my personal favourite, a cucumber lol
  • Step 8
  • Let set at room temperature, will take around 20 - 30 minutes and serve immediately
  • Step 9
  • I don't recommend setting these in the fridge, it can make the chocolate sweat
  • Step 10
  • These ingredients make 6 lolly pops
  • Step 11
  • You can freeze the kiwi in a single layer on a lined baking sheet after inserting the lolly sticks to make frozen pops. When you dip in the chocolate it should freeze in an instant and the kids can dive right in!
