Ingredients: Vickys Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 450 grams white mushrooms, sliced or button mushrooms, halved
  • 3 clove garlic, finely chopped or add to taste
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese from my free-from link below
  • 2 tsp finely chopped parsley, basil or tarragon
  • salt & pepper

    Step 1
  • Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat and add the sliced mushrooms and garlic
  • Step 2
  • Cook until the mushrooms brown and release their liquid. If no liquid comes out add 2 tablespoons of water, vegetable stock or milk of choice
  • Step 3
  • Turn the heat down to medium low then add the cream cheese, chopped herbs and salt & pepper, stirring until a sauce forms. Don't turn the heat up too high or the sauce will split. Just heat it through
  • Step 4
  • Serve over toast, garlic bread, chicken, pork, steak or pasta
