  • 400 grams dried yellow split peas, soaked in water overnight
  • 200 grams rindless diced bacon + another 50g rinsed well
  • 6 large white potatoes, diced
  • 4 medium carrots, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2700 ml ham stock
  • 3 finely diced spring onion/scallions
  • 1 pinch black pepper to taste
