  • 4 oz boneless, skinless, chicken breasts. 4 , 4 ounce or two large cut into two. See step picture.
  • 4 good quality dinner buns
  • 1 small head of lettuce.
  • 8 baby carrots, shredded
  • 8 radishes, shredded
  • 4 clove of finely minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp hoison sauce
  • 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 3 dash sriracha hot sauce

How to Make Vietnamese Style Chicken Sandwiches

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Vietnamese Style Chicken Sandwiches in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix all liquids plus brown sugar and salt together.
  • Step 2
  • In a bowl or zip loc bag, add chicken and 3/4 amount of liquid. Marinate chicken for 1/2 hour.
  • Step 3
  • Shred carrots and radishes and mix in with leftover 1/4 liquid. Mix well and refrigerate until you assemble sandwiches.
  • Step 4
  • In hot skillet on medium heat, cook chicken, discarding marinade before cooking.
  • Step 5
  • Cook chicken about four minutes or so on each side until cooked through. Timing depends on thickness.
  • Step 6
  • I used two very large breasts of chicken, so I cut them in two as shown after cooked through.
  • Step 7
  • Assemble your sandwiches. Place lettuce leaves on bottom on bun.
  • Step 8
  • Top with chicken then with carrot, radish mixture.
