  • 1 block Tofu
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 Egg
  • 350 ml ★Water
  • 3 grams ★ Dashi stock granules
  • 2 grams ★Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ★ Usukuchi soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ★Mirin
  • 1 tsp ★Sake
  • 1/2 tsp or (to taste) Curry powder
  • 1 an appropriate amount Katakuriko slurry

How to Make Warming Curry Tofu

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Warming Curry Tofu in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Slice the onion thinly and sauté in oil.
  • Step 2
  • When the onion has browned, add the curry powder and continue sautéing.
  • Step 3
  • Add the ★ ingredients, simmer, and skim off the scum.
  • Step 4
  • Slice the tofu into whatever sized cubes and simmer in the sauce until warmed through.
  • Step 5
  • Add the katakuriko slurry while stirring until the sauce has thickened. Take care not to break up the tofu. Drop the unbeaten egg into the middle and cover with a lid.
  • Step 6
  • When the egg has somewhat set, scatter with some chopped green onion and it's done.
