  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 3/4 cup salsa con queso
  • 2-3 tablespoons original bbq sauce to taste
  • 1 tube buttermilk biscuits
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • 2 tortillas (burrito size)
  • 1-2 cups shredded cheese

How to Make Western Pie

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Western Pie in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven for the biscuits
  • Step 2
  • Line a 9 x 11 cake pan with the biscuits mashed flat to make a crust
  • Step 3
  • Cook the meat in a deep frying pan
  • Step 4
  • Once cooked stir in the salsas, bbq sauce, and a little bit of the cheese
  • Step 5
  • Pour meat mix over the biscuits
  • Step 6
  • Tear the tortillas into large pieces and cover the meat mix with the pieces. Cover the whole thing with the remaining cheese.
  • Step 7
  • Sprinkle with a little salt and garlic powder (or just garlic salt)
  • Step 8
  • Bake at the recommended temp for the biscuits for 12-15 min or until biscuit edges are golden brown
  • Step 9
  • Cut into squares and serve
