  • 200 grams or more Thinly sliced beef
  • 1 Burdock root
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 3 tablespoons ●Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ●Sugar
  • 1 tbsp ●Sake
  • 2 tbsp ●Water
  • 1 Vegetable oil

How to Make Yanagawa-Style Beef

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Yanagawa-Style Beef in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Shred the burdock root and soak in a bowl of water, then drain.
  • Step 2
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the burdock root and stir-fry over high heat.
  • Step 3
  • Once the burdock root has wilted, add the ingredients marked ●.
  • Step 4
  • Place the beef on top of the burdock root without mixing, until it the beef cooks through. This should be done over medium heat.
  • Step 5
  • Once the beef cooks through, evenly pour in the beaten eggs and cover the pot with a lid. Turn off the heat.
  • Step 6
  • Once the eggs are soft set, it's done.
