  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 candlenuts
  • 2-3 cm fresh turmeric
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp pepper
  • 2 bay leaves, ripped
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, crushed
  • 2-3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tbsp oil

How to Make Yellow Pickles (Indonesian Pickles)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Yellow Pickles (Indonesian Pickles) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oil into wok, sauted puree bay leaf and lemongrass about 2-3 mins till smells good and bit brown. Pour water and stir till bubble comes.
  • Step 2
  • Add cucumber, carrot and chilli into wok and boil in 2 mins till half cooked. Seasoning with vinegar and sugar. Take out from stove and ready to serve. :)
  • Step 3
  • The pickles ready to serve with fried noodles or fried rice or you can make this for your sandwich ­čśŐ
