Ingredients: Yoghurt Flatbread

  • 200 g Greek yogurt (low fat is optional)
  • 200 g Plain flour
  • 1-2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Dash ground black pepper
  • * Recommened herbs and spices
  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary (not fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme (not fresh)

How to Make Yoghurt Flatbread

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Yoghurt Flatbread in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Put in the flour, yoghurt, bicarbonate of soda, salt, pepper and herbs in a bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon till roughly blended, then combine with hands till the it has turned into a shaggy dough ball. Then knead for 2-5 mins or until it turns into a nice dough.
  • Step 2
  • Shape the dough into an inch, thick disk and split into 8. Roll each bit into a ball.
  • Step 3
  • Heat pan. Roll out one of the small dough balls into 1/2 cm thick disk.
  • Step 4
  • Pop the disk into the pan and flip when bubbles start popping up and a little bit of steam comes up from underneath. When flipped wait for 30 secs and transfer onto a plate. Repeat this step till all 7 are done.
