Ingredients: Zip Dip

  • 1 quart Hellmans mayonnaise
  • 2 lb velveeta cheese
  • 2 medium yellow onions, finely chopped
  • 13 oz jalapenos, sliced or chopped
  • 1 pod garlic
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

How to Make Zip Dip

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Zip Dip in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Let cheese stand at room temperature until very soft.
  • Step 2
  • In a food processor, mix jalapenos with juice, garlic cloves and onions.
  • Step 3
  • Slowly in small portions add cheese to mixture and blend on low speed until smooth.
  • Step 4
  • Add mayonnaise and cayenne pepper, mix only until blended. Do not over mix; dip will be thin. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step 5
  • Great to give as gifts in a decorated jar and refrigerate. Serve with vegetables or spiced crackers (see my other recipe). This makes a LOT so share with friends!
  • Step 6
  • Note: Do not use the "light" ingredients or the dip will be too thin and runny. It's a dip so it's not meant to be healthy! LOL!
